Light Sculpture
Placed above an eighteen-foot-high stairwell, this suspended sculpture is made of dozens of individual hexagonal cells. They are arranged to allow maximum interplay of light from the fixtures above. We designed the connections between cells to have flex so a nearby air vent could contribute movement. Most important, Perspective installed a motorized hoist system above the sculpture; allowing periodic maintenance without the installation of a scaffolding each time.
