Outdoor Bar
This bar is form and function epitomized. Ratio Beerworks needed an outdoor bar as more than just a complement to the indoor one; they wanted to double retail capacity during peak times, and to do so in style. The new bar makes a statement with back lit art work emulating their iconic fence. The full cantilever design makes the stone topped bar appear to float. We consulted the entire staff during the design process so daily task ergonomics are excellent.
Fence
Ratio gave PDF carte blanche to design a fence separating its outdoor seating area from a high-traffic, high-visibility street. We immediately saw the opportunity to entice passersby with the activity inside Ratio while still providing a sense of privacy for customers, creating visual interest in the business, and connecting the business to the surrounding community.
The fence design includes layers of coded, proportional formulas that tell the story of the brewery. And it has proven to be a great catalyst for conversation with new customers and dedicated regulars who remember the details about Ratio’s origins. The fence also incorporates hundreds of photo negatives gathered from local residents and people involved with the brewery that attracts almost constant interest from pedestrians. Design, fabrication and artistic content are all PDF original.
Outdoor Tables
A clean, sleek design provides ergonomic comfort and highly durability to this outdoor seating area. The powder coated steel and tigerwood tables are custom proportioned to optimize the space available.
Bike Racks
Ergonomic, Secure, and sturdy; these racks reference the design of the adjacent art fence while standing alone as an artistic addition.
Patio Lighting
PDF designed and installed tensioned cables to suspend ornamental LED lights across a large outdoor space to provide even lighting. PDF was able to find a new product — LED’s that are extremely long lasting and also look like an older incandescent bulb. The lights produce a warm glow and give a bit of a retro feel to the outdoor patio.
